Saying YES to God
Getting Connected in Community with Others
Did you know that America has been called the land of strangers? A Gallup Poll reported that four in ten Americans admit to frequent feelings of "intense loneliness." That is bad news. Loneliness and isolation can lead to depression. And lonely people are apparently more vulnerable to illness and early death. God never intended us to walk alone. In fact, in Genesis 2:18 God said, "It is not good for man to be alone." The first thing God ever said that was not good was loneliness.
Life Center North meets this challenge with 'Life Groups', a place to meet people and be known. If you join a Life Group, you'll be joining 5 -12 people who meet regularly in order to develop friendships with each other, watch out for each other, and encourage each other to be more like Christ. Life Groups meet in homes, coffee shops, pretty much where ever if conducive to good conversation. In Life Groups people study God's word together, discuss the issues and challenges of life, and support and pray for one another.
In a society where it's easy to be lonely in a crowd, we belive that God created us to be in relationship with othere people... Life Groups. Don't do life alone.
