Track 3
Spokane Ministry Institute Track 3 'Pastoral Leadership' addresses the needs of those who are sensing a calling to vocational pastoral ministry. Attention is given to the critical disciplines of a theology and Biblical interpretation, and a framework for understanding how churches are developed, is introduced. Essential skills in public speaking are addressed, and a global perspective on ministry is encouraged.
A certificate of completion in Pastoral Leadership is awarded after completing the following three components:
Core Courses:
- Preparation for Pastor Licensing

Pastoral Theology and Practice

Pastoral Preaching in the Worship Service

Pastoral Issues in the Church Research Project
Coaching/Mentoring:
- Regular Ministry meetings with a Life Center North staff Pastor
Leadership
- Serving in a Ministry Leadership role 8 hours/ week (does not include coaching/mentoring)
- Local or Global Missions Project
Prerequisites
- Completion of Track 11
- Pastoral Invitation
- In agreement and practicing LCN's Leadership Standards
SMI Track 3 requirements are completion of SMI Track 2, a Pastoral invitation and the participant must be in agreement with and practicing Life Center North's Leadership Standards. The Pastoral Track of SMI is a one year program that will begin in September every other year . There is a fee for Track 3 that will cover hard cost of books, other resources and program expenses. Missions and retreats will incur addition variable costs. Each mission project is unique to the program participant.
